Alphonso's Trattoria Pizzeria (Pizza Shack)

I've ordered from Pizza Shack several times but have neglected to write a review until now. I highly recommend ordering from them! The food has always arrived within the given time frame, the delivery guy is always friendly, and their food is truly delicious. If you like Penne a la Vodka theirs is the best. Basics like Chicken parm, pasta with meatballs all very good. Someday I'll head in and eat there but so far the delivery on cold winter nights has been too good.

The minestrone soup was very tasty with a lot of vegetables. The lasagna pie was cooked perfectly and had just enough cheese and meat that balanced the taste. The Alfredo sauce with the fettuccine was creamy and full of flavor. Usually delivery food has a different taste than when you dine in but with this shop delivery food is as good as when dining in. Order was on time! This place doesnt disappoint after being a customer for 5 years.

fantastic customer service, if they made a mistake they will fix it quickly and promptly!!! PLUS the food is excellent!! it is what you would imagine home cook italian food - big portions, big flavors, fresh ingredients!!!! LOVE YOU PIZZA SHACK!

Been ordering from this restaurant for years. The food is absolutely amazing and always on time. The owner has even called to follow up and make sure everything was okay with our meal. Great food, great service.

All other venues need to take note: this is how customer service should be done!!! I asked for a special substitution in the write-in box, and the manager called me with a truly heartfelt apology explaining how the computer didn't allow the override on the dinner special. Sure, I pretty much figured that was the case, but the nice phone call was unexpected. Soon after, the meal arrived, but 2 sodas and a complimentary salad were missing. When I called, the manager seemed legitimately horrified and couldn't stress enough how much he valued my business (it wasn't my first time ordering). The sodas and salad quickly arrived, along with a special gratis entree AND pasta, just as a gesture of good faith! Obviously, since I've ordered from them before, I already thought their food is great -- but now they've locked in a customer for life.

Just got pizza delivered and food from Pizza Shack Mm-mm, yummy, yum, tangy, sweet, saucy, cheesy, crispy and just the right doughy goodness of your Sicilian slice. Love it! I'm a fan of both the middle and end slice. Mmm good on your regular slice too- the right amount of sauce, cheese, spices, size, crust, crispness and density. Dough factor- right on. You beat nearby A-1 Pizza and Two Boots in a heartbeat as far as my palate is concerned. I'm so focused on the pizza, I'm neglecting to mention that Pizza Shack has an expansive menu including pasta dishes, salads, soups, Italian sandwiches too. I had a warm spinach salad with cannelli beans that was fresh and flavorful. Pizza Shack (in a neighborhood that needs more good diverse eateries), at least we Grand Streeters can count on PS for a top-notch service from Pizza Shack!

love these guys. good pizza and surprisingly delicious pastas! their delivery times are very reasonable and prices are great (for manhattan). ive had their vodka mini pie (4/5 just wish it was a little bigger for the price), spaghetti with meatballs (4/5), penne with vodka sauce (5/5), calamari (5/5 very crispy, not overcooked and they hook it up with the lemon), garlic bread (5/5 good and garlicky), and chicken francese (5/5 light but flavorful). keep in mind that this is a local pizza joint, so dont go expecting haute cuisine. you get an honest meal sent to your door that is consistently done right - the old school new yawk way.

Amazing pizza and service. The House pizza is by far the best. This is the best pizza i have had in a while in the lower east side. if you want good pizza then call Pizza Shack you will not be dissapointed in anyway. I have had pizza from all over in the lower east side and downtown but this place is great. I just wanted to add on that i have spoken to the owner a few times. He makes sure the food is always its best and will help you out in anyway. I love this pizza and food. It just gets better each time. I recomend asking for the thin crust the pizza is even more perfect.

I tried ordering a few weeks ago. They were apparently really busy, so instead of making me wait, they called and gave me the option to cancel my order. I did. To my surprise, they called me like a week later offering their apologies for their business that day and offered me a free mini pizza. The pizza came quickly and tasted great. This place is worth is for the pizza, but it's great because of the service. =)
